You want to live to 100 with robust health. We all do. 120 even? Why not? If you can dream big, maybe you even see yourself cruising right on through 200 and beyond, looking and feeling like a 20-something. Is that possible? Who really knows? We think so here at The Immortality Project, and a growing number of incredibly smart (and sane) people do too. But where to start?
The truth is, you probably already know most of what you have to do to be healthy and live a longer life. And you also already know why. Eat right. Exercise. Hydrate well. De-stress. Get lots of rest. A million books and blogs go into great detail about the latest research on the biochemical benefits of all that stuff-and countless other factors-with all the necessary experimental and empirical proof of the extremely long potential human life span. You certainly don’t need one more book like that, and that’s not what The Immortality Project is all about.
The tough part is not the what or the why, but, rather, the how. How do you design an exercise plan that works around your personal likes and needs? How do you change to a healthier diet and actually enjoy the transition? How do you remember to drink enough water every day, keep your immune system strong, and de-stress your life? How do you sort through the endless data and manage to implement all of it? Well, that is what our program is all about.
What exactly is the The Immortality Project?
Implementation, flexibility, and accountability. It’s essentially your own private anti-aging coach. More specifically, it’s a complete exercise, diet and nutrition, and overall health plan designed to help keep you looking, feeling, and actually being vibrantly healthy and young, regardless of your chronologic age, for many, many decades to come. Below, you’ll learn a bit more about the three main components of the program.
Implementation
The Immortality Project gives you specific methods to help make healthy living more than a chore, more than even a habit. It will actually help you have fun with your transition into an entirely enjoyable and thoroughly healthy way of life.
Flexibility
If you’re like most people, you’ve probably tried a dozen exercise programs and a dozen dozen diet plans. None of them worked for very long, did they? Why? THEY’RE BORING. We know that any health plan that doesn’t appeal to your own personal interests simply won’t stick. Another reason? THEY DON’T MAKE SENSE. We don’t like taking 100 pills a day either. Supplements can be important, no doubt, but there’s definitely a lot more to being healthy than a plate full of HGH pills, and deep down, you probably know that to be true. Yet another reason? THEY’RE TOO HARD. If you’re out of shape and try a kickboxing video or a two-hour power yoga class, we all know that will likely be the last kickboxing or yoga you’ll ever do. But you still need to exercise and eat right, and fortunately, there are other solutions. So do it your way. Our exercise program has you do what you like, anything at all, and do it at a level you can enjoy. We’ll help you design a fun, personalized overall health plan-complete with resistance training, cardio exercise, and stretching, a balanced and tasty anti-aging diet, and much more-a program that you’ll look forward to participating in every single day.
Accountability
This might be the toughest piece of the puzzle. Who among us has never quit a diet, yoga practice, exercise plan, supplement regimen, or general advice profferred by a doctor, personal trainer, or late night infomercial? Change is hard. New healthy habits are hard to form. We know. But change can also be fun. The Immortality Project takes human nature into account, making it fun and easy (well, easier, anyway) to stay accountable to yourself. A personal anti-aging coach would be the best solution, but they’re not exactly found in the local yellow pages (well, not yet). That’s partly why we created this program. We’ll inspire you to take action, for starters, and then we’ll help you record your daily results and track your progress over time. Our clients tell us that once they learn how to record their actions on our easy-to-use forms, and then see the quantified results over time, it naturally drives them to stay on target and continually improve their health.
But being healthy is more than just exercising and eating right, isn’t it?
Definitely. That’s why we created the 10 Daily Questions for Forming Healthy Anti-Aging Habits and also the 18 Decisions of Optimum Health and Longevity. In fact, our whole program is centered around these two core components. When possible, you spend no more than 30 seconds answering the 10 Daily Questions. Not only does this one simple step keep you accountable for all aspects of your health by quantifying your progress, it also serves to change your thinking in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. Once you begin to change your thinking, you begin to change your actions, and that results in a healthier you. This, in turn, creates a positive feedback loop that keeps you wanting to do and be even better still.
The 18 Decisions are a commitment that you make to yourself, and, if you want, to your partner and other loved ones, to continue striving to be healthier in 18 key ways-all accounted for within the 10 Daily Questions. The Decisions cover nutrition and exercise, sure, but also hydration, mental sharpness, adequate rest, automobile safety, medical checkups and maintenance, alternative medicine, changing limiting beliefs, good financial planning, life purpose, and much more. Print them up and stick them to your fridge. Pin them to your wall. Do whatever it takes to remind yourself regularly how important each and every one of these factors are.
